God’s amazing love is offered to us despite the problem we have...
1. The Problem of Sin
God’s Word shows us that every one of us has this problem. This problem separates us from God.
…There is none righteous, no, not one: Romans 3:10
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23
If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. 1 John 1:10
Because of our sin problem, we have a penalty that we deserve…
2. The Penalty of Death & Hell
For the wages of sin is death… Romans 6:23
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Revelation 20:14
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8
God, because of His love, warns us of the problem and penalty of our sin. He not only warns us but also shows us the way to escape. That way is through one Person alone…
3. The Person, Jesus Christ
…there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
Jesus Christ, God’s Son, laid all our sins upon Himself and paid our sin debt in full by shedding His blood and dying on the cross. He rose up from the dead and lives in Heaven today! Because of Him, we can have a home in Heaven.
4. The Promise of Eternal Life
Put 100% of your faith in Christ alone by asking Him to save you from your sin and its penalty, and He will do it!
…but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
Claim His promise and trust Christ as your Saviour by praying from your heart something like this:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I am genuinely sorry for my sin, and I need to repent of my sin and be saved. I believe that you died on the cross to pay for my sin, and that you arose from the grave because of your power over death and hell. I’m putting all my faith and trust in you alone to forgive my sins, save my soul from hell, and take me to Heaven when I die. Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of eternal life. Amen.
